Business Development Associate

Nexomics is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and conscientious Business Development professional to help maintain the company’s upward trajectory. The role requires the ability to simultaneously generate new project leads, manage and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments of varying complexity while ensuring that the efficiency and productivity of all our staff is maximized through effective communication, scheduling and process management.

Position Summary:
Nexomics is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and conscientious Business Development professional to help maintain the company’s upward trajectory. The successful candidate will play a critical role in generating new project leads, managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and assignments of varying complexity, and ensuring that the efficiency and productivity of all staff is maximized through effective communication, scheduling, and process management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the corporate liaison for client communications. 
  • Prepares and/or update marketing material pertaining to services and products.
  • Periodically engages previous clients as a means to generate new project leads.
  • Assist the preparation of quotes and proposals to clients.
  • Tracks progress on fee-for-service work to assure that these are completed to agreed deadlines.
  • Documents anticipated delays and discuss these with management.
  • Fields immediate questions and concerns from clients concerning ongoing and future fee- for-service work.
  • Attends scientific meetings, tradeshows and industry organization meetings as a means to stimulate business growth and build Nexomics brand. Examples include ENC, NJACS- NMR, and NJ BIO.
  • Edits scientific reports and updates.
  • Occasionally contributes written content to grant funding opportunities
Key Responsibilitiess:
  • • Serves as the corporate liaison for client communications.

  • • Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
  • • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met
  • • Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients.
  • • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals
  • • Track and report on sales metrics and activities.
  • • Attends scientific meetings, trade shows, and industry organization meetings to stimulate business growth and build Nexomics brand.
Qualifications:
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Economics, or a related field (B.Sc or above).
  • • Proven experience in business development within the biopharmaceutical or CRO industry would be advantageous.
  • • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • • Proficiency in English and in using MS Office Suite.
  • • nthusiasm and passion for the biopharmaceutical industry is preferred.
